Rositsa Trichkova Featured in Special IDES Interview Marking Important Milestones for the Profession

Rositsa Trichkova, CPA and Registered Auditor, Managing Partner at Audit Correct, took part in a special interview organized by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Bulgaria (IDES), dedicated to significant anniversaries and the development of the auditing profession in Bulgaria.

In the interview, Rositsa Trichkova shares personal and professional reflections on the transformation of accounting and independent financial audit over the past decades — from the beginning of Bulgaria’s transition to a market economy to the contemporary challenges facing the profession today.

One of the most memorable moments in the conversation is her reflection on the symbolic connection between the democratic changes in Bulgaria and the introduction of international accounting standards:

I returned from Moscow on November 10, 1989 — the very day Todor Zhivkov was removed from power. Paradoxically or not, together with the beginning of democracy, international accounting standards also arrived in Bulgaria.”

The interview highlights:

  • the evolution and modernization of the profession;

  • the role of ethics and professionalism in auditing;

  • current challenges facing the sector;

  • the importance of continuity between generations of professionals.

For Audit Correct, Rositsa Trichkova’s participation represents recognition of her longstanding contribution to the profession and reflects the firm’s commitment to high professional standards, sustainable development, and public trust.
